Main area of focus in Caring for the Destination:  

Medical Care Outreach, Supporting local primary school and Tree Planting

Detailed description of the Caring for the Destination Initiative: 

Medical Care Outreach-The program involves creating awareness on HIV/AIDS, children vaccination, guidance on prevention of common ailments by providing basic information and drugs. This is done by our resident nurse in liaison with the local district medical staff.

Building of Classrooms and Furnishing of Local Primary School-Isokon-This is done on the realisation that there are limited school places within the local area where children can attend school to the level they would want to. There is need to increase classroom space, build teachers houses ablution blocks etc.

Encouragement of Tree planting- The fragile environment that is part of Mara Ecosystem need to be preserved through sustainable programs such as increasing tree cover. The local community form part of the balance and through provision of seedlings the local community is able to plant trees that provide them with wood fuel. This we do in conjunction with the Mara Conservancy
