The magnificent Indian Ocean Beach Resort, once the site of a 16th century mosque, is situated amongst 25 acres of swaying palms and Boab trees, overlooking the powdery white sands of Diani Beach and the Tiwi estuary.
The luxury resort reflects the Arabic architecture of bygone days, when the Kenyan coast was ruled by the rich Sultans of Zanzibar and the antique relics from the Sultan's palace that adorn the interior, provide an insight into those opulent times.
Facilities & Services
Guests at the resort are spoilt for choice when it comes to culinary options, with four restaurants to choose from.
Spices - serves exotic specialities from regions surrounding the Indian Ocean and is also open for a full buffet breakfast.
Ocean Terrace - located at the pool offers light meals, sandwiches and mouth watering Tandoori dishes.
Bahari Cove - for open air a la carte dining by the beach, featuring local seafood cooked "Swahili style".
Jungle Village - (Only operates for scheduled themed nights). Experience a traditional Kenyan village banquet in open air "bomas" with soft lighting, a roaring bon fire with African entertainment.
To entertain friends or business colleagues or simply to have a social drink, guests can choose either of 3 venues located at the resort:
Sultan's Lounge - for fine wines, spirits and liquors.
Coconut Willies - overlooking the pool, for coctails
Dhow Bar - on the beach, for mocktails and cocktails or a nice cold beer.

- For cancellation or reduction in number between 15 and 10 days from the noon on the date of accommodation - 10% rate of the applicable per roomnight cancelled with maximum charge of 3 nights per person
- For cancellation or reduction in number between 9 and 2 days days from noon on the date of accommodation - 35% rate of the applicable per roomnight cancelled with maximum charge of 3 nights per person
- For cancellation within 48 hours from noon on the date of accommodation, or incase of No-Show, 100% of the rate applicable with a maximum of 3 nights and for any night over 3 nights - 25% of the rate applicable per roomnight cancelled
