We support local supplies whenever possible and can facilitate traveler donations to local projects.

Detailed description of the Caring for the Destination Initiative: 

Beach vendors, in the eyes of the traditional tourism industry and the government, have been a nuisance to visitors. However, we recognize that these are people who are part of our community and are simply trying to create a livelihood. So we have interviewed a few of the beach vendors selling quality goods without the hassle tactics and have given them some space on our beach front to sell their wares.

In addition to the beach front crafts we also have an in-house facility to support and promote artisans practicing the local wood carving craft of Jua Kali.

At Leopard Beach resort & Spa we also make sincere efforts to purchase fresh produce and fish from local suppliers. Guests can taste the freshness!

Behind the scenes, we also do a lot to support the local community assisting in the community patrols, providing health talks for our staff and their relatives, and donations to community projects such as the First Aid of Kenya, the Colobus Project and the Kwale Eye Centre.
